Meet Logan

Logan Humphreys was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at 2 and a half, and the long 3.5-year years of harsh invasive treatments and time in isolation have impacted his development greatly, even now as a healthy strong 12-year-old boy, he is still dealing with PTSD and anxiety.

Tegan Connolly & Logan

Navigating the transition into his first year of high school has been difficult for Logan, who has been subjected to bullying, impacting many areas of his life. Now with the support of the Back on Track program, he has all the resources and support he needs to build resilience and to help him feel empowered to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Watching her son struggle for years with neurocognitive side effects, mum Tegan Connolly says that she can already see the benefits of the program and believes the initiative will continue to will help Logan find his confidence, support his education and mental and emotional well-being, by giving him the structures, support, and opportunity he needs to succeed on his own terms.

Logan now has recently been given the scholarship to attend a mental health wellness and resilience camp run by the amazing team at Armed for Life. This program was especially sought for Logan and will be crucial to building Logan’s confidence, well-being, and resilience.

“I can’t thank the Back on Track program enough for the tremendous support and guidance they are giving Logan. For him to be given the opportunity to access this program to thrive and flourish through high school and give him the tools he needs to build on his resilience and self-esteem with external programs, means more to me than I can ever put into words.”- Tegan Connolly (Logan’s Mum)
